How to discern what is authentic

To discern what is uncorrupted and what is the most accurate there is a detailed process that must be followed. It may be hard for a person to rule out what may be authentic and not if they do not have a good foundation of knowledge when it comes to ancient history specifically when it comes to metaphysical, religious, or generally just ancient literature. The start is to identify a best guess at an objective or at least the most accurate truth based off intensive self teaching education.
